PMUY Apply for New Ujjwala 2.0 Connection

PMUY objective is to make clean cooking fuel such as LPG available to the rural and deprived households which were otherwise using traditional cooking fuels such as firewood, coal, cow-dung cakes etc.

Eligibility Criteria to Avail Connection Under Ujjwala 2.0

** Applicant ( woman only) must have attained 18 years of age.
** There should not be any other LPG connection from any OMC in the same household.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Scheme Eligibility, Benefits

** Adult woman belonging to any of the following categories – SC, ST, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), Most Backward Classes (MBC), Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY), Tea and Ex- Tea Garden tribes, Forest Dwellers, People residing in Islands and River Islands, enlisted under SECC Households (AHL TIN) or any Poor Household as per 14-point declaration.

Documents Required

** Know Your Customer(KYC)

** Aadhaar Card of applicant as Proof of Identity and Proof of Address in case applicant is residing at the same address as mentioned in Aadhaar (not mandatory for Assam and Meghalaya).

** Ration Card issued by the State from which application is being made/ other State Govt. document certifying family composition/ Self-Declaration as per Annexure I (for migrant applicants)

** Aadhaar of beneficiary and adult family members appearing in document at Sl. 3.
** Bank Account Number and IFSC
** Supplementary KYC to support status of the family.

How to Apply New LPG Connection under Ujjwala 2.0?

Applicants may apply to any distributor of her choice either by submitting application at the distributor or by submitting a request through Online Portal.

Applicant can apply both online and offline.
** Online – Customer can enroll through online application, or she can also contact her nearest CSC Centre for submitting the online application.
** Offline – Customer can enroll by directly submitting the application at the distributorship.

Documents Required for KYC Submission

The following documents are to be uploaded by the distributor:
** Proof of Identity (POI (any one as per list in the application form)
** Proof of Address (POA) (any one as per list in the application form)

** Aadhaar of Applicant (Aadhaar is not mandatory for Assam & Meghalaya, however Ration Card issued by State Government is required).

** Ration Card or any other family document issued by State Govt. /District administration detailing family composition or Self Declaration of Family for migrants as per Annexure-I

** 14-point declaration duly signed by applicant as per standard format given.
** Supporting document in case, connection is applied under any of the seven categories as mentioned Q (1) (b).

Document to be collected and confirmed in the OMC portal by Distributor
** Declaration from the customer for enabling existing KYCs in OMC portal to be Ujjwala 2.0 compliant. (Cleared KYCs under previous scheme – PMUY/EPMUY/EPMUY2 will be verified for eligibility under UJJWALA 2.0 scheme. These applicants have to submit self – Declaration from the customer).

** Pre-Installation Check Report of customer’s premises
